I quit I wasn't interested in the job that they offered me I figured I turn 49 next week. So I better make my move now It would scare me to death (at my age) to have to look for another job. Well Bill, I of course wish you all the best and MUCH success in finding a job quickly! thanks I am taking the month of July off and then start looking for work in August Pauline and I are going on a road trip for a couple of weeks

I probably took out about a pound or pound and a half last night and I could remove a few more ounces (Or another pound or so) if I needed to.

Actually I could trim down the items in the pack a lot, but I like to have my bases covered "Just in case". BUT we will see after I have lugged it around for a bit. I could trim mine down as well,

The more I think about it (will have to see how it carries) the more I think I might just go with a couple canteens on a web belt and a bladder in the pack.

After packing the pack around for a couple of hours I remembered the ten 12 guage slugs sitting in the pack

The slugs would add a few ounces.
I have a dedicated 2l bladder I got for $10.00 new at a flea market about two years ago, I've still never used it.

I have a bladder but I have mixed feelings about it That's kind of me as well. Never drank out of one before but with the Military going to them instead of canteens...... I don't know. I'll just have to wait and see. I still might just go with 2 40oz bottles to strap on the pack.
