But then how do I explain all the OTHER knives? And guns...and hawks...and packs...and... Easy! It all is a part of the setup for when SHTF! You will still need to provide shoes and bags for the wife, right? Just at that time you will have to shoot the creatures (guns - different cals/sizes for different critters); harvest usable parts and improvise tools and such (hawks & knives); transport meat and esources (packs). Not to mention that along with all that you'll be feeding her and the family...
