Cool. Glad you figured that out. So being I'm picking up a ruger single six hunter what mini red dot could be had that would mount to that rail?

Lazi,

I had the same issue with my old glasses, in particular my BCGs always made the front sight post on my rifles look crooked.

I think I have the same problem, to a much lesser degree, with my ICLs, but I think that's due to eye pressure changes when I go to the extreme edges of my eye motion.

(for those who were unaware, I am the bionic man, technically... more info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implantable_Collamer_Lens)

GD,

Since we're on the subject of Vortex optics, haha. I just picked up a SPARC II for 200$, very VERY happy with it. I'd throw that one in the running for sure.

I know it mounts on a 1913 rail but I'm thinking ruger uses some type of weaver rail. Can't find much about it though.

Oh, I see, I hadn't gotten eyes on the specific pistol you were talking about yet. Ruger should sell proprietary rings for that. I imagine if you stretch your Google Fu, you might be able to track down a picatinny adapter for it :\

*edit* BAM! http://www.brownells.com/optics-mou...er-to-weaver-base-adapters-prod1721.aspx

I don't know about the strength of using just one of those mounts with a SPARC though. The SPARC II is light, but it's not ittey bitty like a DR Optic. That much mass flopping around on top just doesn't seem like a good idea, .22 or not. In that case I would recommend a Burris Fastfire II or III for best results. I could be wrong though, I don't have personal experience with it sooo...

But since it doesn't have a Pic rail without adding a bunch of stuff, I'd say search for an older model aimpoint maybe? The older versions (Comp M2 Gen and earlier) in their hunter variations use two 30mm rings, so that may work.

T&E fast fire may also be a good dot for it. I'm not sure yet what I will do. It will be a while before I have the funds to do anything.

hopefully not too long. The good news is the Burris usually runs pretty inexpensively
