Thanks. I am finally moved into my place on Okinawa. Since I am unaccompanied, they put me in the staff NCO barracks. It is nice enough for military living, but a bit small. However, the location is awesome. Across the street is the SNCO lounge. Next door to the north is a gym. Next door to the south is an arts and crafts center. The center has woodworking, metal working, fine arts shops.

I have already rented a locker and taken the safety course required to use the wood and metal shops. Time to start building/modding!!!

As you know, this is my second time here. I was a boot last time. I don't have any sergeants breathing over my shoulders this time.

I have 25 kids to look after, mold, mentor and teach. I do have 6 sergeants and corporals who all seem to have there BZO set properly. I am expecting another 10 or so kids as soon as boot camp and the school house can supply them.

Yeah I remember you saying you had been there before. I THINK that Okinawa was just begin given back to Japan when I left the main Island in '92.

Yeah, mainland is pretty temperate. This island is a tropical jungle. There are bats with 6 foot wingspans here. I see them going home every morning during my run.
