Started thinking about my Day Hiker/Get Home Bag for the winter. Need to get a couple more pair of wool socks and some other Cold weather Preps for the bag.

It's been a while, I hit the range and got some quality time with a rifle and a pistol.
I built some gear and saved a healthy amount of cash.

Well, bought another 100 rounds of 9mm ammo, ball for practice/sighting in. Better than nothing. And Patty had me buy a Protec (?) 30 dollar laser. I told her it probably wouldn't last very long and she said that's OK, it will show me if I really want a laser or not.

Been wanting one of these for some time and today was the day. $369.00 counting my LE discount, and yes it is a 9mm. But mine has the activation pad on the front strap. ![[Linked Image from c1.staticflickr.com]](https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8838/17743300844_9ba9149f30_b.jpg)

My wife was looking out for me today, sort of. She was at Academy and they had some bulk 22lr ammo. She called me to see if I wanted some but I was outside mowing, so she DIDN'T buy any. She knows better now.
Not really preparing. More like preparing to prepare.

Bought two of these, 14.95$ each, to put in my bugout bag. They collapse down to a hair taller than a can of dip, and hold 24 oz IIRC. Perfect to save space and weight when you don't have water, but blow out to keep you hydrated when you locate a source of water in an austere environ. ![[Linked Image from i22.photobucket.com]](http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b328/theblackened14/IMG_20150609_061807721.jpg)
