GOOD NEWS. Springfield Armory notified me by email that my Promotional mags and carrier have been shipped! I HOPE it's two 7 rounders and one five along with the mag pouch, but I'll take what ever they send. I mean it's free!

The rifle I ordered just shipped and is scheduled to be delivered this Friday. I'll be working all weekend so I won't be able to pick it up until the following Tuesday. I was hoping it would be delivered this Thursday but it looks like I'll have to wait a few more days.
Now I need to decide on the scope that will go on it.

I agree with GD on the scope.
Nice Skunk when my father bought his SA 1911 it came with a deal to buy a bunch of mags at cost we bought a lot for both of us. LOL
Spidey I am hoping that by next spring I will need a few of the 7.62 pmags as well. I really want the DPMS G2 recon.

I decided on a Viking VTAC sling but I am going against the grain and using an HK style clip for the muzzle end and wrapping the stock on the rear.
I am leary of the QD setups.
I don't like the single point s except for a very specific set of circumstances. They beat up your crotch too much for the majority of what I do.
