Nice, Todd!
I have one of those Brownings. It belonged to my Dad and I've had it since he passed in '92. I can remember sometime in the late '80s him saying "I paid $30 for it 30 years ago." Many a ground squirrel fell victim to that wonderful little rifle.

Well, I think I've decided to go with the Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x44mm for my DPMS GII Hunter. I considered a 50mm objective but decided it was overkill for my needs. I think 44mm is borderline overkill. Now all that is left is to decide what mount/rings are needed.

I went aimpoint PRO. I'm ok with it but if fund were available I'd get trijicon or the t1

Now I am leaning more towards a 1x4 illuminated. I am going to give myself an aneurism.

Pulled the trigger on the Bushnell 1-4x24 it is serviceable and if I hate it Bushnell will buy it back. http://www.bushnell.com/all-products/rifle-scopes/ar-optics/1-4x-24mm-throw-down-pclI don't want to throw down 500 bucks and find out I hate it so this will be a good start then upgrade or get rid of it.

Let me know how you like that Greaser. I have an in at leupold and have been debating getting a similar one from them.
I haven't used a 24mm optic since I was a kid and had one on an old Marlin Model 60. They intrigue me.

Greaser, I just picked up my GII and my initial impressions are favorable. Really neat design. The action is very stiff, even for a new AR. I'm hopeful it will loosen up after some range time. The trigger isn't too bad for a factory single stage. Also, my calibrated eyeball says a Magpul BAD Lever will not work on this rifle. The bolt release doesn't quite line up. I didn't actually try the BAD lever so I could be wrong. Oh, I just decided I don't like ambidextrous AR safties.
That's it for now. Any questions float 'em my way.

Sorry for the bathroom yellow lighting pic, but it's the best I could do at 2200. The DPMS GII Hunter is in the middle. I think it might actually be a bit lighter than the AR-15 above it, but that one has a heavy FN barrel on it. Anyway, I already have a Magpul MOE to swap for that Hogue. Next is a Vortex Viper HS scope. ![[Linked Image from i1091.photobucket.com]](http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i393/amflud/IMAG0368_zpsdtbyt7mk.jpg)

I will say having one of these in the Recon configuration would have me truly excited. But, as always, there are some things I would want to change to free up some weight.

I want a 308 AR. It just keeps getting bumped down on the priority list.
My next firearm will probably be the Glock single stack 9mm if they release it in 2015.
