And our little town is a pretty quiet place. About the only signs you see near the polling place is announcing that it IS a voting place.

T^he other night a Sheriff's Deputy was killed in the town about 22 miles north of us...Eldorado Springs. Apparently he was going to tell the driver his tail-lights were faulty and a gun-fight ensued. The Deputy killed the perp before he himself died.  It doesn't just happen in the big cities.

None in our town. The only businesses besides farming and ranching is a part-time Post Office and part-time taxidermist! No police department, and only a volunteer fire department. LOTS of welfare people though for a town our size!

Tom's right about the violence NOT just being in the cities. two weeks ago a man was murdered about 20-25 miles from where I sit. Happened in a town of 17,287 people.
