Surefires... Mostly because they were sold where I used to work and I go a discount.

I have an older G2 with and LED upgrade and a newer model that still has the 60 lumen bulb. Since my old G2 was always either in the car when I needed in the kitchen or vice versa I was happy to find the newer one for $18. I would like to get a brighter LED in the newer G2 ad leave it in the car. I also have a E1L and a C2. The E1L is something like a edc except I don't carry it very often. But when I do think I may need a light I drop this one in my pocket. The C2 is sort of my shtf light. It normally stay somewhere close to my AK.

I would like to get a rechargable retina burner for beside the bed but I haven't really looked all that hard. I also keep saying I'm going to get a couple lights to use with standard size rechargeable batteries. One to put in a edc bag (I have yet to setup) and one small one that works in a pocket better than the E1L. Just too many other things to buy..

Yeah. The battery situation with high powered lights isn't fun $$$

What I'm looking for in a light?
Small-fits in my pocket with looking like I'm happy to see you
Battery-single 16340 or 18350(similar size to a cr123)
Real 500+ OTF Lumens-not LED lumens
Hours of runtime from 500 lumens instead of minutes or seconds
Programmability to 2 or 3 modes- I prefer Moon light low, low, blind you high
Must tail stand
Color 3500- 4000K (HICri 98 or better)
Clicky
Momentary
Knurling on the light body which is grippy, but won't cut you
Water proof
Survives 20 ft drop x 100-or equal ruggedness

Here's what I've tried:
Started with Surefires, went to modded Foursevens, Eagletacs, Jetbeams, Olights, Sunywaymans and other "imports" Hope I don't offend anyone, but a modded turd is still a turd. Got into customs from McGizmo, Prometheus, Malkoff, Lenslight, Oveready. Had my Surefires modded. Got a bunch from HDS and one from Elzetta.

My unicorn light has still not been found.

What is in my rotation:
Surefire modded with Nichia 219b
McGizmo Haiku HiCri
HDS 170 219b

If I could only own one:

HDS 250 Rotary ( I own 2 and don't carry one)- makes total sense right?

I run a lot of different lights.

At work I have a Streamlight Ultra with an LED conversion and a Streamlight Stinger with an LED conversion. Both the conversions are from Terra Lux.

On my work rifle I run a Terra Lux TT-4. 520 lumens will light up a healthy area.

In my man bag I keep a AA TT-3 a 250 Lumen light.

I got a screaming deal on both the TT-4 and TT-3. Both of them for less than 50 bucks. I hawk the sales.

I have a couple of older Surefire G-2's on a Carbine and one thrown in a winter bag.

I also have a Surefire 300 on a pistol.

I got a Streamlight Sidewinder for a present. I like it but I haven't really used it a whole lot. I thought it would be more useful than I have found it to be.

At home I probably get the most use out of a AA MARATAC light I bought several years ago. Not the brightest but its well built and always sits on a table next to me.

Wow after listing all that out I may have a problem with flashlights. I didn't even go into the headlamps. And a Streamlight SL-20 that I need to get a new battery for. Or the Mag lights.

Yep I may need an intervention.
