I have heard it stated that "Things Happen" because God instilled in us, gave us "Free Will". That our worship of him would be meaningless to him unless it was a choice we made because we wanted to make it, NOT be mandated to give it.

Oh and I should say this "Power" can also be something that we are nothing more than mindless creatures to. Neither liking or disliking us. Hope you can figure out what I am trying to say. I know my thoughts but have difficulty many times in getting them out correctly. Yes We could be the center of his universe or merely an insignificant part of it

I know that your belief in salvation is strong
And it should be as it is a cornerstone of Christian belief

I will admit that it is a difficult concept to grasp for a lot of folks. I wish this wasn't true. I say this NOT saying they are wrong, but saying that What If We're right.

Yes. THAT is the core. A belief that our "Souls" are immortal and will spend SOMEWHERE (Heaven or Hell) for all time.
