Good evening everybody.     While clearing out some stuff from our old house the General found the box that had my Case Bowie that I carried in VietNam...talk about memories!

Nice find, Tom. I guess you have liked large knives for a long time. Yes, ever since watching the TV series "Jim Bowie" MANY years ago.     The Case was actually the Bowie that got me started!

I had thought about cleaning up the knife, but I might just leave it as is.

Personally I think that I would.  But it might be a good idea to put something on the leather sheath so it doesn't deteriorate any more.

In the cave with the flag was several boxes of civilian clothing donated to the VC and NVA by students at UCLA Berkeley.

The leather sheath started deteriorating as a result of being wet so much over there.  I suppose that I could stitch it up and apply some leather conditioner to it.
