What do you want in an upper? I bought my ideal upper for a whopping $439 bucks including the BCG.
There are almost always deals to be had. PM if you like. I'm really wanting an A2 upper with a 16 inch pencil barrel. Looking for simple and light. But I do have a Bushnell red dot coming, so if I got a deal on a flat top upper I wouldn't be too disappointed.

I don't think there is anything wrong with selling off some steel to buy a lead slinger but make sure you dont sell off anything you will miss too much. That's precisely my quandary. I've got some knives that I'll never use and wouldn't mind exchanging for something a little more useful. However, I've also got some that I'll NEVER part with, and some that are in between.
