I decided to take my Mutt out for a walk in an area I had a good feeling about. I explored and thought that the conditions were right for some type of Native American evidence.

These three insitu photos are of the same tool and were taken exactly how I found it. I at first thought that it may be Hopewell Woodland Indian as there is evidence that I am finding just acroos the street of they're habitation, pottery, stone tools and copper tools. But then the tang (base) gave it away and I would have to say it is Archaic which is older than the Woodland.

Enjoy!

This is from the standing position.

The tool.

And the DM with its bone!

I found another tool this morning but it is unrecognizable unless you see it in person.

Thanks for looking,

Dan

Sweeeet. I'm suprised that they lay on the surface like that.

Cool pictures, Dan. My Mutt has not found any arrow heads, but he did sniff out a cute blonde.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Thank God for rain! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Take a look at the deer hoof print, a little closer and that would have been broken in two. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

Way cool Dan. I find a lot out here in the desert. Old Anasazi habitation sites are just about everywhere out here. You can't go anywhere without at least finding a piece of pottery. Feels real good to find a gem like that.
