Aaaaaaaaand I am broke. Just ordered my anniversary present--glass for the 300blk--and I STILL have to pay a chunk of it from what left over gear I can sell. If Dan waits til July I can ask for it from my wife as a b-day present Anyone know any collectors of Chinese antiques?

What's everyone's experience with 5160 steel?
How is the corrosion resistance, edge holding, etc.? Corrosion resistance terrible same as SR101,1095 etc. Edge holding can be great if heat treated correctly, someone once described SR101 as 5160 on steroids......I'd say that's quite fair, most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference through normal use.

What's everyone's experience with 5160 steel?
How is the corrosion resistance, edge holding, etc.? I've got several swords and a spear made of 5160. It does have a tendency to rust if not satin finished, you have to keep it protected and wipe off the fingerprints. It's pretty darn tough with a good HT, and I think it would be great for a big 'ole SYKCO chopper!
