Well, I was finally able to get to the range and try out my 300 Blackout pistol. It seemed a bit louder than a rifle but not all that different. It was very comfortable to shoot from a rest and extremely accurate also. I want to build a .458 Socom next if I can convince myself that I need one. After all, I have some knife money that I am not using at the moment. grin

I went with a RECCE rifle build.
16in 410 SAMR barrel from BCM
15 KMR rail from BCM
Vltor MUR
LanTac enhanced BCG
Axts raptor charging handle.
Rock River carbine lower with match trigger.
I plan on upgrading the stock, grip, selector, and pins.

Got the AK Out of jail today, the only thing I need to do is spray paint the bare aluminum where Mike milled on the sight rail.

Here she is with the SGL-21. the SLR is on the bottom of the photo

And a few of how she looked before the shop work

If all goes according to plan, I'll be giving it a good workout this afternoon, and I should have plenty more photos.

Ran like a top! The modifications shifted quite a bit of the weight rearward, so the rifle points much more quickly now. The Tritium sights I had installed act like a Ghost ring but the two rear tritium dots make it very easy to center the front sight post in the middle of the aperture. I was shooting about 1" groups at 25 Yards at night without a clean image of the front sight tip. I expect it will tighten up considerably during the day when the front sight post is more than a green dot :P

I was going to order a Vortex Spitfire next month and then someone turned me on to HOLOSUN Technologies inc sights. I really like their HS502c model.
