lolol... just put a serial number on it and fill out a form 1, wait a few months, and it'll be the cheapest suppressor you could get.

I joke with my buddy who owns an OSS can for his AR that I could build one for the price he paid for his tax stamp, lol

With the prices of tax stamps, I buy the best suppressor I can afford. Yes, I can build a decent one for a mere fraction of the cost, but I want the best performance if I'm paying an extra $200 per.

You can always build your own and ignore getting a stamp, but you seemed to be concerned with following the law. Paying $200 for a stamp and then building a less than pro-level suppressor just seems ... a waste.

Yep. You can make a great can if you have access to mills, lathes, and proper tooling and stock. Id personally just buy one. As a machinist I can tell you that somebody had already has the engineering done, prints done, perfected the machining processes And will warranty their work...

This is true but if I serial the end cap then everything else could be replaced/upgraded later unlike most cans.

JJ I like you have and still work for uncle Sam and a weapons violation would negate my entire adult life. Hence the caring about the law.

Silencerco serial numbers the tubes, so the baffles can be replaced with the latest designs.

Was talking to the Local Conservation agent (kritter Kop) and found out you can hunt with a suppressor in Missouri, but NO full auto weapons. ALSO found out from him that there is a local guy that builds suppressors and the game warden says they are nice. He shot one in .308 and said it is sweet.

May have to check this guy out, once I get his name and number again.

Huntertown Arms has a great warranty, against anything other than stupid...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fxvpx_1L0YI

believe it, they replaced the entire suppressor after this, at no cost to the owner.

They're also inexpensive. I would say go with Silencerco if you have the money. I want an Osprey myself for my SLR. But if that's not in the budget, a Huntertown Arms may be the way to go. My first can will be one of theirs in 9mm

I guess I need to get out the 1022 and have the barrel threaded for 1/2X28! Then pay a visit to the Sheriff's son (he sell s Huntertown arms suppressors) or the local guy that makes suppressors.
