Inspired by Bill's DMLE, I have been grinding and polishing mine. My lines are not as straight, and it is far from perfect, but here it is:

I left mine pretty much full thickness. There were a lot of grind marks and roughness to grind away, though. That crinkle coat covers a multitude of sins. Now I can appreciate why the DFLE is taking so long! See where I hit the handle with the belts?

Nice work! Did you convex the whole knife? It almost looks like it is fully convex ground now.

Yeah, I can't do a flat grind since I removed the belt guide. Its a full convex from about 1/4" below the spine. Final satin grind was with 400 grit. Edge grind is 9 micron. Got a little "mojo" overgrinding just past the choil. Here are some better pics:
