What size shoe does Dan wear? A shoe covered foot is not guaranteed to be 12"... mine isn't. Although "a shoe covered" is 12 letters in length. wink

The inspired on the shoulders of some greats part leaves a lot of room for options in a 6-12" blade with a regulator handle. smile

Should be interesting no matter what!

- Sizable hold for the instrument of leadership

More to come

Dan

1. 1095 steel, Rockwell hardness between 58-60.

2. Bigger than 6"... But shorter than a shoe covered...Pretty sure Dan was drunk. OR, a shoe covered is a foot. Split the difference between 6-12 and you get 9"

3. Bigger version of something that did well in many variations...I'd have to say the Regulator in all its forms was probably the best, longest selling blade yet. Either that, or the ASH. Or MAYBE it's a Basic Series blade.

4. Regulator handle--biggest one made to date. That, and a leader is one who regulates.

Either a 9" Basic, ASH, or Regulator with a Regulator handle made of 1095 steel with a Rockwell Hardness of 58-60.

BAM!

THAT'S how it's done!

No, but what is it that a shoe covers? A "foot." And a "foot" would be 12" wink

Thats pretty good.

I didn't think it was the regulator, but it sounds like it could be one....good job DT.

Oh, forgot. With the zip code being 41095, that would make this sucker 1/4 inch thick.

Sooo...to recap:

1) 1/4" thick 1095 steel with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60

2) Nine inches in length

3) A version of something we've seen that was a great seller in many forms. I'd suggest that it might also have been released originally as a six inch blade ( see hint 2 where he says its "better" than six, suggesting a larger 9" version of a popular 6" blade. I'm thinking a 9" version of the 6" profile Regulator, or perhaps a 9" version of the SS6, considering those are the only two 6" blades the Yard has put out.).

4) Big handle...Instrument of Leadership....

I'm going with 9" Regulator, 1/4" thick 1095 steel and a 58+60 hardness.

Sounds good, it would be nice to get a 9-10" spearpoint/swedged blade similar to a ZTBM with the regulator handle angled slightly downwards.
