Horn Dog,
Oh yeah! Bare SR-77 looks Sweet!
The full-height grind of Scrapper 6 really comes through nicely.

Yeah, you're right.. getting a full polish *is* Very labor Intensive!
Getting the tooling marks & Infi dimples out requires much grinding w/ coarse grit stuff.
I wanted to put Gunsite's "Ice" high polish on my SS4. Months later it's still sitting on my work bench.. i finally got all the grinding marks/Infi dimples out using course grit sanding drums.. but i've saved the Polishing for another month <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

So like Horn Dog said.. i *really* have a new appreciation for DFLE, FBMLE.. it takes a Lot of work to get 'em shiny like that!

Thanks for sharing HD.

Actually, I was thinking a gray epoxy coating might look good. I like the contrast with the black handles. Been eyeing the FBM. Hmmmm.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

those look pretty cool.

Not really sure if it's possible......but would they be able to be bead blasted??

When you care enough to use only the best...stick'em with a SKYCO knife.

Yes. I had a Cold Steel Trailmaster beadblasted and then "Parkerized" (zinc phosphate coating). The parkerized finish looks much better to me than the epoxy coating that modern tactical knives use. It may not be as effective, though.
