Think we'll ever see a Scrapper with a scandi grind ?
I'd love a Scandi ground Bandicoot type of knife, there would be no re-profiling required either, plus the ease of sharpening.
If TOPS and ESEE can do it I'm sure these can !

I'm not opposed to the idea of a scrap yard scandi knife, but I wouldn't buy one. Scandi grind is probably my least favorite.

A true Scandi grind is too weak for my uses.
I prefer a refined, thin convexed egde, which performs much the same, only with a stronger edge.
I know that a Scandi grind can be slightly convexed, put is it a ture scandi then?
To me, a true Scandi only have the primary bevel, and I have had too many of those fail on me.

Been waiting for Busse to come out with one for years, but never thought about Scrapyard coming out with one. It would have to be an uncoated blade to have the best performance.

It seems that what makes or breaks a scandi is the edge angle. This Smoky Mountain Razor from BHK is a really nice scandi. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/KNwpjTTl.jpg) And this little Enzo Birk has been getting a pretty good workout for the last month or so. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/g57cJ9Xl.jpg) The Birk has had the new knocked off it since this was taken and it hangs with some ZT folders just fine.

I've never carried one as my primary knife put I do own a Helle and a few Marttiini knives that have proven to be phenomenal wood workers and game processers that are easily maintained so I would be all in for a Busse family version especially with a Res-C handle maybe even a Wharncliffe blade since I'm day dreaming right now anyway.
