Nice Blade, what is it? Oh and I remember you talking about the ammo you made up for the trip.

Picked up a Coonan .357 Magnum 1911 yesterday. Anyone have any experience with these?

I like the Shockwave but I don't think I can trust these game wardens to understand or even care about any explanations I could give them. The appearance of the Thorsden might be odd enough that it wouldn't require as much explanation. But who knows with these guys around here.

But is there a Pistol hunting season for Deer? That's a whole other can of worms... not even a can, but a heap...

Just put a CZ P-07 on layaway for 480$. Have 60 days to finish paying, doubt it'll take that long though. Sadly, it came with two 10 rounders instead of 15, which I know CZ makes. I think it's probably easier for them logistically to just send 10 rounders to capacity limited states... BUT the good news is they don't look like they'll be too hard to drill out. Just a couple of dimples and they'll be back to 15 rounds in no time laugh

I've used it quite a bit. It's just like ebay but for the good stuff.

I was lucky to find a used one for a reasonable price. I'll let you know how it shoots after I go to the range on Sunday.

I wanted a Coonan since before they started making them again. Maybe 6 or 7 months before they announced they would be making them again I came across them and have wanted one since. I just haven't been able to get it high enough on my wants list. There's always more practical and affordable stuff to get so while I would buy a Coonan in a heartbeat I don't know if it will ever happen.

I did get the .357 bug recently though. It probably won't happen this year but I decided I really like the S&W Model 60 with a 3" barrel.

Yup, in MS we are good. Our deer seasons are defined as Archery, Primitive Weapon, and Gun. So all gun seasons include handguns.
