After wayy too much deliberation,, research, hemming and hawing..
I bought an 1111. grin grin grin
The Chophouse looks amazing,, but for reasons I decided I wanted my first(maybe only for now) dedicated chopper to have:
-Res C handle
-10" or more blade
-1/4" thick
-SR101 or INFI

The 1111 fit the bill.. CANT WAIT to use it!

Any Dogs out there have experience with one? What can I expect?
Ive heard it compared to the ASHBM dimension wise,, what about performance?

rcb2000, with these specs:

1111
Blade length: 11
Blade thickness: .250
Blade height: 1.80
Overall Length: 16"
Blade Grind: Saber
Steel Type: SR101
Handle Type: Black Res-c
Finish: Black Powder Coat
Weight: 21.4 oz.

It will be VERY close to the legendary Dog Father, a Chopper that is one of the GREATEST blades Dan has ever came out with. That being said, I don't think you will be unhappy with its chopping ability. Now carrying that piece of steel, well...

Hahahhaha what a thread to wake up to!
I can barely get her to carry my sunglasses in her purse,, much less a big chunk of Dans finest!
Carrying I'm not too worried about, I've been doing some long Virginia hikes with a Gransfors strapped to my pack,,which is right at two pounds.

I've loved every knife I've had from scrapyard (HDDD, Regulator),, I'm sure this one will not only win a place at the table,, but will probably smash the table in half for kindling!!
