I very recently traded my S&W 1006 (5" 10MM 3rd Gen Semiauto) off for a Ruger Mini-14 Tactical and a little cash leaving me without a suitable wood-walking handgun.
Problem solved....
On Tuesday I sent payment off for a Glock 20 Gen4 in FDE. I had a Glock 20SF Gen3 and loved it. I wanted to make sure the next 10mm Glock had a different color frame to make caliber identification easy for my wife. The FDE framed Gen4 in 10MM is fairly rare.
Today I mailed off payment for a S&W 65-5 (3" 357 Magnum). I'm acquiring this from an elderly neighbor of my Mother-In-Law. It was her late husband's. I know the story behind this gun (mint / fired once) and am very excited about helping her and picking up the only revolver in my collection. She's to ship it to my FFL tomorrow.

I have a copy of the S&W's receipt where her husband bought it new in 1993. I'm really happy to be helping her, and will appreciate the revolver immensely. It'll make a formidable belt gun. I won't feed it a steady diet of full house 357, but will load it with hot 357 ammo for field use. The rest of the time / range work will be 38 Spl.

Man-o-man, what I wouldn't give for a 3" round butt 65! I have a 4" square butt that I love love love. I think it's my wife's now, though.
Nice scores, Gary!

The three inch RB 10/13/64/65 is about the PERFECT carry revolver !! My issue was a three inch SB Mod10 for a very long time and I never felt bad when so armed !!! I would still happily carry just that today !!!!

Nice scores!
I lucked into a conversion barrel for my 45 so I've been blasting 40 super through it. It's supposed to compare to 10mm. It's a handful but bearable.
A S&W revolver is in my short list. I was all about a 4" 686 plus but now I'm leaning towards a 60 with a 3" barrel. The 3" 65 is looking like a nice in between. I may have to keep it in mind whenever I actually get around to finding something.
