That is a great weapon, but a scope on a full auto seems a bit superfluous?

Holy cow, is that a M60? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

I think its a M240

It's an M60. Looks like an E4/Mk43 model.

You guys didn't use them when you were in Iraq? All of our 240's and 249's get M145's.

We didn't get squat for our crew serve weapons! I would like to see how well it works, but on a moving vehicle.....accurate aiming is pretty much like peeing in the wind.

Wouldn't it be iron sights or spray and pray on a high speed hummer? I figure the telescopics would be handy for whacking tali, in the desert, at range, before they can RPG7 you.. God isn't on the side of the biggest regiments but the best shots!

That is pretty much it Paul, we were never really in a position to stop and aim....so the sights would really be decoration for us. Not to say they aren't good for someone, but didn't do us much good.

Yup It's an M60 E4 model. A friend of mine thats a collector owns it. The E4 is the very short barrelled version. As you guys stated, a magnified optic such as an ACOG is a bit much for an M60.

At Knob Creek I found a few 240s.....they ranged from 85,000 for a user and 160,000 for a spanking new one...I imagine the M60 is similar in price....As soon as I find a spare 100K I will pick one up!!

I love the 240 ....I have a thing for .308s! But I have to say for a dismounted patrol...the M60 is tough to beat for weight to destruction ratio!
