Good morning, Yard. My wife just told me that the heat index fir today is 105°. That’s a good excuse for taking it easy today. Not that I need an excuse to do that. My tolerance for heat and cold seems to be less now that I am old. Not to mention being more crotchety.

To high a heat or to low temps can be VERY bad. Please (all joking aside) be cautious Ray. One thing I have found out is that I now, quite a bit actually, wear my wool socks in the house. My feet get really cold, something that didn't happen a year ago. Oh well at least I can feel them. Some folks with diabetes have a lot worse foot problems.

Earlier today I went to the Amvets post where they had an indoor barbecue lunch. I met my friend with ALS and his wife there, and chatted with a retired Judge as well. Nice time.

Howdy fellow Dawgs. Had a brief rain shower and the temp dropped about 7 degrees. Our high through Tuesday is supposed to only be 84! A good break from 94-96 with heat indexes of over 105.

We're looking forward to that drop as well.

Well went back up to 92 then about an hour ago it started raining again and now we are back down to 77 with a predicted high Monday of 79 and a low Monday night of 60! Woo Hoo, MY kind of weather.

OOPS, I made a boo boo in my original post, but corrected it here. Todays high should be 79, NOT 92.

A storm moved in a little while ago; lots of lightning and thunder with the rain. I got most of the yard mowed before it moved in.

I need to get my yard mowed sometime this week esp since it's supposed to be cooler.

How big is your yard PK? Do you use a tractor to mow?
