Or Mike. I like Mike. It's nice to have a Christian up there that isn't afraid to let folks know where he stands.

Mike is a breath of fresh air. He's really a great, down-to-earth man who knows his stuff, doesn't pretend about what he doesn't, learns fast, genuinely listens and responds to his workforce, and is the kinda guy you'd be willing to follow to the ends of the earth. That last one is a good characteristic you want to have in the guy over the foreign service, considering that's precisely where most of us end up

Last thing I'll throw out is I've been really impressed with the Ganzo/Firebird line of folders. 90% of them anyway. I know many are similar to higher end blades, but their build quality and heat treat are really impressive! ESPECIALLY for $10-25 a pop!
I spent half an hour digging a rope out of a tree with the tip of the blade (kids tired it on years ago and it was almost grown over). I kept expecting the tip to snap of, but it cut and dug through about 2" of non-stretch nylon-weave rope in 2-3 places without bending, breaking, or noticeable dulling.
I've got probably 15 of these suckers kicking around my knife drawer and probably 4-5 on regular rotation. Always in my pocket after work or on the weekends and up for anything.
I'd RATHER use all-US steel all the time (and I do in my fixed blades), but darned if these aren't some good blades in all shapes and sizes. Have yet to sharpen any... Though the one I used to cut tree roots in the mud and pry out rocks for 10 hours during my oldest's Eagle Project needs it. The rest are regular use and are still shaving sharp.
Let the hating commence.

Wow, impressive service from those knives, of ANY manufacture. But for the prices you stated, you better buy some more! EAGLE SCOUT? Well congratulations to the both of you. I made it to life before I got to old. I Had I think 5 or maybe 6 left to go. Wish I had been able to have made it, but scouting here at that time wasn't all that conducive to making it to "Top Dog" status. Just wasn't enough parents that could help out. The highlight of my Scouting experience was being able to spend a fantastic, beautiful 2 weeks at Philmont. I wouldn't trade that experience for a million dollars. AND I actually wish that I could do it again, in a UTV of course! But a horse would work out OK as well.

That's a good philosophy Randy, kinda like not using your 1911 as an anchor or a hammer when you aren't using it to defend yourself Haha, exactly now MY 1911 (Ruger SR1911 CMD in all SS is sweet. Plus I Purdied her up with a set of these https://vzgrips.com/pistol-grips/custom-engravings/diamond-back-black-gray-knight-2-engraving-73466They were REAL grippy at first and almost rubbed my fat Dunlap raw, but smoothed out just fine and still have a good grip to them but don't abrade anywhere like they used. Plus I think they look really cool.

I guess that IF I could have only one handgun it would have to be my Ruger 45. Second on the list would be one of my Sigs. Not sure if it would be the P225 9mm(old style) or my P239 .40 with the XS sight systems Big Dot 24/7 sights. I have tried to get a set of those for my Ruger but they don't make them for the CMD version. I REALLY like those sights. As their slogan goes, "Just dot the I".

Don't know that I have a favorite pistol. I'll shortly have a Rock Island 1911 CM Ultra in 10mm with a fiber optic front sight and adjustable rear, VZ grips, etc. Was thinking it was the 5" when I ordered it, but it's only 4.25 other than that it's an amazing pistol.

Randy, the Ganzo blades are the same Chinese steel as the cheaper Spydercos. They are finished with G-10 scales and most are Axis, frame, or liner locks. They are really nice.
