true, i am refering to the price he could get them for. but you are right the grind would cost to much. but he coulg grind his own and have the best 20 or 25 dollar fixed blade ever. i bought a couple and the grind was perfect. problem was more cosmetic.

Wow that looks really good. I would love to see the grindmaster do a diff tempered Swamprat like an M6 and really bring the hamon out.
I have a Cheness katana that I had a custom handle(tsuka),wrap(tsukimaki) and guard
(tsuba) made for and now I plan to do a really nice hybrid polish and saya.
My Cheness is through hardened so it does not have a real hamon but the only tougher sword is probably the AK47.

If the grindmaster wants to do a really ambitious project I have always wanted to make a Ruck into a traditional looking wakizashi. You would have to grind of the hand guards and a chunk of handle, remove the crinklecoat and hand polish the blade as well as make a handle and saya then wrap the handle in rayskin and silk.
You would also have to make a tsuba fit. It would be a lot of work but you would have a traditional wak made of INFI!

Imagine being able to go Andy Wayne on a car or chop concrete?

Thanks. Da yoots are angry with the old man. I didn't make it to the bus stop at 4:00 to pick them up, so they had to walk about a half a mile. No guilt trip here. I had a productive day. Thats a real job. It took me all day long to make the HRLM look good as a custom. But now I have custom looks with Swamp Rat steel. I am just fondling it and admiring my work.
