The deli and prepared food self-service counters have been shut down. Luckily the restaurants will deliver so I will occasionally make dinner with a phone call and a credit card. My wife doesn’t like most of the Asian food I prepare. (Her idea of Chinese food is boneless pork, chicken fingers and crab Rangoon). That is the only Chinese food that she eats. I wish my area had authentic Asian restaurants but all serve Americanized food. I think that most dishes served in our Chinese restaurants are not seen in China.

Here in Podunk we are sorely lacking in Asian restaurants; there's just not enough people/customers to make them a viable entity. However, as much as I miss the food I certainly don't miss the hordes of people.

You're correct Ray, OUR Chinese food is "Americanized" the food I ate in Japan was MUCH better (Korea also). Oh and the Philippines too.

Well Randy, American food is plenty good to me! Even Americanized Asian food.
