Some Gats? Guns? OK, so you're leaving the land of the Mile high City. And going where? IF you don't mind saying at least what state that is.

Oh and don't forget, IF Y'all move to the flatlands that it could take up to a year or two for both legs to get to the same length.

LOL, Goats.
We are planning on moving to Idaho. Southeastern side is leading the pack. The biggest detractor right now is I can buy a lot of land in the midwest and a house cheaper than a couple of acres in the west, But no heat, humidity, ticks, chiggers and a lack of poisonous snakes along with a ton of national forest is kinda nice.

Lack of poisonous snakes??? Along with cougars, wolves, and bears, you will still need to keep your eyes open. However, you should enjoy some great hunting and fishing.

When I was stationed at Mountain Home AFB, I had some friends (from when I was a kid) that lived in Pocatello. It was still pretty country.

I deal with, Mountain Lions, Black Bears and the occasional wolf now. Grizzly Bears usually aren't too big a deal. Dang Copperheads and Cotton Mouths are not my favorite things. I at least enjoy wating Apex predators from a distance. Snakes not so much. And Chiggers and ticks are straight from Satan's neck of the woods. LOL, I do miss the hardwoods though.

Now that I can retire I am really dreading going back to work after vacation. I'm sure I will be just fine after the 500 emails and pile of paperwork that will be waiting for me gets cleared out. I'll just need plenty of coffee to power through the first week back.

Haha, ticks and chiggers ARE the Devils spawn! Copperheads and Water Moccasins I also don't like unless it's from about 50 ft away! One time when I was stationed in Idaho we went fishing at C.J. Strike. I caught 88 stripped perch. Filleted out every one of the little devils. But they were good eating though. And I can't tell you how many trout I caught (Not at CJ though). Barbless hook. It was fun and when you were able to actually land one, a 12-15 inch trout cooked up real nice.

Skunk that's one thing I'm looking forward to. Plenty of lakes rivers and creeks to fish in. I really miss having decent water nearby,
