I will say my wife and kid have been great. They are taking very good care of me. I may need to get a stunt double If I keep going like this. I just want to make it to January unscathed.

I've got just one word for ya. Doctor Shopping! OK maybe that's 2 words. Point being, DO not let them tell you that you can go back to your normal rumble and tumble (MAKE SURE they understand how rough your job can get) when they are considering releasing you for full duty. I can see you milking this until January. Just find a nice sympathetic Doctor.

I'm not on to milk an injury. Very much the opposite. I'm planning on doing office duty next week.

Slow and easy is the course to take.

Wasn't saying to NOT work, just not do your usual "Run and Gun" day to day activities. Office work won't hurt a thing. May not be what you want, but at least you won't be setting around getting bored doing nothing.

LOL, I'm trying to stay healthy until I can retire. My wife picked me up from the ER. Before I could get to the sidewalk she told me to quit. I am nearly ready. I want to put in 6 more months. If I can do that I won't have to work unless I want to. Thats my goal.

If the numbers now where the same as they would be in 6 months I would have hit the eject button already. I want to leave the job before I hate it.

That is the point I reached, therefore the reason I quit last year instead of when our Sheriff's term is up this year. Oh BTW won the primary and will win in a landslide against the Democratic opponent.
