I picked up a new edc backpack to replace my TT Removable Operator. It's a Grey Ghost Gear Throwback.
It's basically the same pack but with all the tactical bits removed making it more "grey man" I guess. They also added a front pocket and velcro inside the main pocket. I don't need the webbing and "Removable Operator" features but I really can use the front pocket and velcro panel.
I also picked up one of those tough water proof rubber/plastic zipper pouchs by 5.11. I'm hoping it will fit in the hydration area of the pack and give me another place to stick a few items.
Got some 5.11 AK mag pouches.
Got some Korean AK mags.
Got some Bison Cobra buckle belts.
I'm really liking this style of belt. These are a lighter build and not near as stiff as the ESS riggers belts that I picked up a while back. Maybe a little more edc ccw friendly when it comes to sitting down and getting in a vehicle. The plus with the stiffer belt is that it stays exactly the same. And with the cobra buckle I can take the pants off and put them back on without anything changing. So I will have to see which belts I prefer.

Ray, the "fighting Bowies" generally have a short section of wide blade and a longer section of a narrower rakish design. It makes the knife lighter and quicker to handle. But you ARE correct in that all Bowies can be used for fighting.

All kidding aside Tom, would it be possible for you to post pics of both “styles”?

Gettin ready for the change in command in January lazi? It . Nah, I just came across some good deals on that stuff. The pack and the belts are just me trying to refine /develop a real edc system. As a fairly low maintenance type it apparently takes a global pandemic for me to think I need anything more than what I can put on my belt and stick in my pockets. Stupid food and water making me soft! Next thing you know I can't leave home without the baby wipes!

That is why I carry my Maxped Fatboy or jumbo everywhere, a d keep a GHB in whichever vehicle we are in. Why just last week I had some ahem, stomach problems. There wasn’t any TP in the restroom. NO PROBLEM, I just rummaged around in my “Man Bag”, dug out some “baby wipes” and finished the job. Always prepared, never surrender.

Randy and Ray, here's a few pics showing the difference in the Bowies: There is a Fallkniven, GTI, Colt, and Busse Battle Pappy in the pics. I have also seen a "fighting Bowie" called a "Kentucky Bowie" in the Crazy Crow Trading Post catalog.
