Took a carbine class last night and really enjoyed it. Instructor is former Army and some type of cop....big beard, hair kinda wild...talked about serving warrants...not a beat cop for sure. He could drive the gun though...did some good drills and a little barrier work.

Stepson called asking how I am doing. Patty told him I went to my Fav Gun Store while she was getting her hair don for Mom’s funeral and that always cheered me up.

He said I need to buy a new gun, and bequeath it to the grandson when I die, something he and I could shoot together and that he could have to remember me by and that would be a present from Grandpa.

My FLGS owner said he would sell me a NIB Springfield Armory Hellcat OSP (red dot not included) For an out the door price of $598.00

Rich, sorry to hear that Connecticut has once again stopped anyone from being able to purchase firearms or ammunition. But rest assured that your CCDL has your back and is working to once again, per a previous court order to force the state to open back up for purchases.

As I understand it, they are open but the process is crazy and stil getting updated. Someone told me the people at DPS had to do 5 clicks to process the firearm, now it's 12 and some info doesn't carry over. I'm hearing LGS have to call literally hundreds of times to get through. I've been tempted to get a CZ evo 3 pistol and either sbr it or get a brace...i"m holding off for now!

Ammo isn't impacted. If it's in stock...and fairly priced...you just buy it with your permit.

I just can’t imagine having to have a permit just to buy Ammo. Next thing you know they’ll require the same just to buy cannon fuse! wink

Sighted in some guns today at a buddy’s house. My umarex Orion 22 air gun (2 shots touching, and the 2nd one just had the pellet showing on the back side, and the 3rd blasted through a 2x4 from 30ft.

The other was a Walter PPS-M2 W/ Shield RMSc RDS. Also from 10 yards. Oh and my Springfield Armory Hellcat, just to verify the Irons were good with my carry Ammo.

All is good grin

Randy, how many pumps does it take to fill the air gun and how hard is it? With my bad shoulders, I’m concerned that I won’t be able to use the pump easily.

Ray, from 500psi up to 3500 it took somewhere around 80 pumps. I am not a small guy, 6ft, 250lbs. The last 30 or so pumps I had to keep my arms straight and basically squat down letting my weight compress the pump handle down. I took my time. Good thing though, 20 shots just dropped the pressure 500psi. A few reviews I’ve seen says you can get about 60 full power shots before it starts dropping off. Oh and I have found several electric compressors rated for that amount of pressure. The ones I saw ranged from about 220 all the way up to a couple grand.

Thanks, Randy. Good thing my wife is available to use the pump. I wouldn’t feel right though about keeping her home from work just so I could use the air rifle, maybe you could just bundle one of those compressors up with my grinder and send them together.
