Dan, I really like the Scrap Yard Knives and appreciate the performance we get for the price. I was admiring the contrast between the urban gray blade and black textured handle on my Busse Badger when I noticed that the pattern was similar to the one on the Street Srapper 4 Res C handle. It made me think of a way to make a different version of Srap Yard Knives without the very high labor costs of micarta handles and satin polished blades. A Dog Father or any other model with a gray blade and textured handle would look great and only cost a little more than the standard model to make. I know it would not work any better, but you could charge a little extra for the option and it would be cheaper than the current Limited Editions. Would it be possible to do such a thing and still keep prices well below the other Busse family knives? ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SYKCO004.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SYKCO005.jpg)
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

^ that Mudder Res-C handle on SS4 (and some SwampRats) is one of the BEST handles! imo, better than the lil basic handle on Dumpster Mutt. The Mudder handle gives a strong full-hand grip, and is comfortable for large & small hands alike.
I'm with Horn Dog, more Mudder handles would be great!!

Scrap Yard no like complication. Das true. I think scrapyards business model seems to be to stick to simplicity and performance at a good rate, I'm cool with that. Although Vics idea sounds pretty sweet too. Whatever Dan does is good with me as long as I get some blades.

So if the yard 'no like complications' dump the black blades and just do urban grey! They look a lot better.. Yes, that should be an option. The contrast with the black Res C would look great. I think I'll get some "urban gray" paint and do it just for effect.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Henry Ford said something to the effect of making cars any color, as long as they were black. Want grey or od, strip it and send it our for coating?
