It would have been ideal for my little trek today. It would make short work of that sapling on the trail. Dan will probably make a SY version one day. I like the broad blade. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like it could chop. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/BATAC013.jpg)

You're right Vic that should be a great little user! I plan on mine being my new mini S6, it feels great in hand even if the S6 would be the better chopper.. Of course if I needed a chopper perhaps my DF would come too..

And being really really honest, let's face it- if you have a SS4 and a guard, S6 or DF you have all the knives you'll ever actually NEED (unless they get lost or nicked) so really Jerry's stuff is just eye candy..
Dan is the king of the users.

Very true, Paul. Busses are pretty. I like my Swamp Rat HRLM, too. Dan's are the best bang for the buck, though.

Now that I know what it is, here is my Badger Attack in Urban Gray with G-10 handles. Sorry about the pics. This is the best I can do. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/BATAC014.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/BATAC015.jpg) Sweet Dan | | |

Ha! You said "Nicked" - thats probably my favorite British slang word. I first heard Ali G (Sasha Cohen) using it, I love it! I agree that Dan's blades are the king of users - but I really love my BATAC - its an excellent Cutter - haven't chopped with it yet (I just stood around by the river whittling at tree limbs for an hour). Maybe Dan will make something like the Badger, but I don't think he really needs to - its not what I think of as far as "Hard Use" knives go - although an SR77 version w/ ResC would be awesome.

Vic - I thought about going w/ mag grips too, but didn't because I'm cheap, and I'm glad that I've got the standard grips on a knife this size. The Mags would have probably been "too much handle." I also wanted G10, but again, I was too cheap - I really like the soft micarta though, now that I've handled it. That urban grey does look sweet though, and the "black" micarta (greyish) would have looked great on the grey blade too! Oh well.

What do you mean, "SOFT MICARTA"? Res-C is soft, all my micarta handles are hard as a rock or harder actually.

I think that the cut that Busse uses on the Micarta feels very soft and fabric-y. I can feel individual little fibers when I run my finger across the grips. Soft to the touch, not soft like I can squeeze it Ranger Micarta feels similar to me also, nice and "soft" to the touch.
Ontario RAT micarta doesn't feel soft to me.

Just my opinion.

Having just got my Badger I know what Dice means and actually quite agree! It's very nice to hold, oddly tactile (have it in hand now- 1 finger typing!!) I was going to oil the scales but I won't for now as a like the 'texture'..
