Good point. I have a 10,000 pound rated winch for my truck, and it is HEAVY!
But id DOES add weight to the front of the truck.

I was a little concerned about how much weight it would add. Not near as much as I thought. I could easily hold the winch and the mounting plate in one hand while carrying it and mounting it to the SxS.

I have a 2,500 pound winch like that for my ATV, much easier to handle. It's just a small Arctic Cat 250.

I have a 2500lbs winch on our Small ATV and a 3500lb one on a larger ATV. LOL I have used those winches more for plowing snow and pulling brush than anything else.

I liked the SRK. It was one of my favorite non- bussekin blades. I carried one of the old Carbon V SRKs in my back country kit the majority of my career.
It worked and if it got lost or broken I wasn't going to cry about it. I figured a new one is a good first hard use fixed blade for the runt. It's still 1095 and should do just fine.
