Evening Yard!

Got most of my garden planted today. Winter squash, Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Green beans, Okra, Carrots, potatoes and sun chokes are in the ground. It's supposed to get chilly tonight so I'm waiting until tomorrow to transplant my green peppers, red onion, garlic, tomatoes, and watermelon.

Why in the world would you plant watermelon?

I want to see if it will grow here. If nothing else I can chuck it at people

They make good testing targets for blades as well.

My wife and kid like watermelon. I like good watermelon. Unfortunately I haven't found good watermelon in decades.

Some people cringe when they see a nice knife tested on a cinder block.. i cringe when I see a nice watermelon sacrificed by a knife test

Sacrificed ? You can still eat the watermelon if you slice it correctly.

Some of those schmoes let em hit the cement like savages though
