Best watermelon I’ve ever had was when we used to visit my grandparents in Alabama. For 4th of July the local (and only) supermarket would donate truckloads of watermelons. One year I was eating down to the white part, like a good New Englander, and a local guy asked me why I was eating that junk. He said to just eat the heart and get another piece. To me, the junk part was better than the watermelon we got in New England.

Evening Yard.
I went out exploring today. I ran across the biggest pheasant I have ever seen. That thing was the size of a hen turkey. Literally at least 3 times the size of a normal pheasant.
