Well, to stay ahead of the forecasted rain I mowed AGAIN. The grass is sure loving all the moisture ; at least it's helping the farmers and ranchers.

Good morning Yard. We had quite a thunderstorm last night so I'm really glad that I got the mowing done. Unfortunately rain is predicted for the next week.

Yup, 87 today then high temps and rain for a few days here.

Afternoon Yard!

Its been a busy few weeks. Weather has been just nice enough to do outdoor chores. I really need to spray but its been either too windy or threatening to rain. In fact its freezing rain right now.

I did pick up a pellet smoker This week as a gift from the wife.

The barbeque restaurant we go to smokes their meats for 12 hours and it is outstanding, so I'm sure you will love yours. Congrats M/B, and kudos for your wife.

Good morning Scrap Yard. A pretty morning, but rain / storms expected later and the rest of the week as well. Guess I will be forced to do some indoor projects and spend more time in my cave.

LOL, we both love smoked ribs, pulled pork and tri-tip. I went to smoke some pork butt and couldn't get my old smoker up to temp due to cooler weather and wind. No reason it shouldn't have worked at about 57 degrees.

So she made a command decision. I'm good with it. I'm looking forward to having something with a lot more temperature control.

Doing a tri tip on my old smoker was a gamble if the weather wasn't perfect. I'll keep the old one for smoking hams and turkey since it was a cabinet style smoker.

I would enjoy some smoked meat for supper, but tonight I settled for a left-over Arby's sandwich and a salad. However, smoking days are in the cards .
