If like me you have the fine motor skills of a drunk monkey I have found an idiot proof pocket sized sharpener(IF I CAN USE IT IT MUST BE IDIOT PROOF )It is made by BLADETECH and can be ordered via the internet from the companies website.It is basically two pieces of tungsten carbide mounted in a piece of metal it's simple and effective and can be used on knives ,garden tools and scissors.
There are far better systems out there LANSKY ETC but this is ideal for putting an edge back on a hard worked blade until you get back to your more in depth systems

I see they have the Diafold, which I have meaning to pick up to put n my pack. Is this is the one you are talking about?

Looks like the same thing here by a different name. I carry one in my go bag and in my light hiking gear. It's pretty compact and does the job. Welcome back jd01, not seen you post for a while! I've actually got the orange and black Wilkinson Sword secateurs that are on that link for the sharpener..
Any easy to use, small, light, portable sharpener has got to be a good idea..

If the carbide cutters float on pivots they would even sit on the existing profile and not wreck it... That WOULD be good!
