I asked a friend this question. What would YOU carry and why?

I’m watching Jurassic park III. IF you were going to that island, what Busse boys knife (or what kind of sword) would you take? Me, I’m thinking my Tali Whacker or Scrapper 5, with hard leaning toward the 5.
I MIGHT pick my TNT-15 for a little more “reach” for hacking through brush. And it would also be a pretty good wood splitter IF I was where a fire would be safe (doubtful). NOT counting my belt blade as mentioned above, that would be a given). Oh and I’d have a diamond rod or hone and an authentic Original DT Made ferro rod with a scraper and PJCB W/Magnesium scrapings in an aluminum container. grin And YES, I HAVE started several fires with that setup.

I thought about my War Dog as I really Like it. But I picked my S5 because Patty picked out the colors on it. Mossy with the Gray handle. BUT if it was for real I would probably take the WD as I feel it would be more resistant to the elements and would be easier to sharpen. Plus I already have it in a Spec Ops small sheath with a ferro rod, a striker, PJCB/W magnesium shavings, all in an aluminum capsule, and a EZE-LAP diamond rod.

I have read that many folks in Africa claim they only need a machete and water bottle to survive ; I would carry my Fell Beast machete from Huntsman Knives. If it has to be Busse then it would be a SYCO TNT15. That would give you some extra reach in case you had to work around thorns, etc.

You know, I’d forgotten about the 1311. That might be a better “Bush” blade than the TNT-15.
