About 120 miles for us, but at least it's on good roads. I also hope to visit the burial site of legendary mountain man Jim Bridger, maybe 25 or so miles from my brother's home.

This Thanksgiving it's just the wife and I.

I think we are going to make Lasagna. We have decided that Turkey just isn't high enough on the list of what we like to eat to bother cooking it anymore.

It’s weird, but I like Turkey from the deli to make sandwiches. Baked Turkey I can do without. I also like Turkey salad.
Also I like fried ham also, baked is OK, but fried is better.

I really enjoy a turkey dinner as it's not very often we have one. Also, the General makes a great turkey soup. smile

Had a great day with the inlaws and managed to eat enough but not to be more stuffed than the turkey!

Morning Dogs!

Hopefully, everyone had a good Turkey day.

My wife is still sick and not eating, so we skipped cooking our meal. I did make a pecan pie, so I got to have my favorite Thanksgiving food.

This one’s for you Ray .

Last 3 times I’ve made coffee I’ve used my standard 20oz of water. I’ve been, for a couple weeks now been using Blackout Rifle 1776 dark roast beans. I’ve now settled on 31gm of ground beans and it’s giving me (to me) a good enjoyable, tasteful but not bitter or acidic cup.

That being said, I also experimented with my normal Dunkin Donuts medium roast beans. I’ve used the same amount of water but increased my beans to 32 or 33gm. To me it tastes about the same but the 1776 blend dies have a slight I think chocolaty slight aftertaste that is pleasant.

Now I’m not 100% sure if I’ll change or just try tweaking my Ahem, less expensive beans as to the amount of beans I use. I NEVER realized the sometimes objectionable test I was getting was from not using enough grounds. I guess you CAN teach an old dog some new tricks.

THANK YOU RAY.
