Great pics! I haven’t been to the Grand Canyon since 1998. We thought it would be neat to hike down in it, but we didn’t have the time and were just passing through on vacation. It’s AMAZING how huge it is. You can’t tell from pics, but when you see it for the first time, it takes your breath away. I almost died a few times when I was there. Got too close to the edge where there’s no guardrail. Slipped on some gravel, it was like ball bearings, and I fell and started sliding to the edge. That was scary. I stopped a few feet from the edge.

I stopped a few feet from the edge. That is scary!!! I've seen parents letting their kids play to close to the edge and it always scares the crap outta me. People literally die every year from being too close to the edge. A lot of times people get to the edge and lose their balance from vertigo because of the amazing view. You're right though, you just can't quite get a feel for how expansive it is until you see it in person, everyone should visit the Grand Canyon at least once in thier lifetime.
