the other funny rant is about the dork ops folk, I bet it is a good knige a good cutting tool but their descriptions are a little over the top.
for example...
"The handle is made of a low-durometer, high tensile aramid composite that is impervious to everything from aviation fuel to Al Qaeda body fluids."
or
"Used properly it can generate the last earthly sensation a terrorist feels on a quick trip to the hereafter."
come on that is just weird. The DarkO.. folks take the cake in terms of "Marketing". I am not sure who write their copy, but it's just well, stupid. I suppose that every maker has their niche and they must beserving that niche otherwise they would cease to exist, but I will roll with my Scrapyard material anyday and never look back.

came all the way to my house, but I sent it back without opening it, it was an order that I canceled and I had to to not pay the shipping. (was another blade in it too) ouch sorry

I figured I don't need it, I can make tons of spears with my current blades and not care if I lose the spear. I thought about it and it seemed a waste to carry that extra weight.

I haven't seen or studied up on any Strider knives. What I've heard has been good, except for the rumors about the owner. Strider knives, I trust my life with them! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> ScrapYard & busse knives too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />!!! CS knives I woul'd not! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" /> One of these days I will take the plunge. My mil buddy has a Strider and it's a beast. I just don't have the cash right now although some day, I will pick one up.
