I'm actually holding out for the 3/16" version. To me 1/4" in a knife that size is too much to perform the tasks I expect it too. This is the same reason I passed on the dumpster mutt when they were available from the shop. Great design though. PLEASE keep the full flat grind when scaling to 3/16".

Of course If I was in the business of gouging fellow knife nuts I would buy 30 of them immediately! Or maybe I should buy 30 of them and slowly sell them at cost in order to control the market...

I agree. For the sort of stuff most people will do with a 4.5" hunting style knife, 3/16" stock will cut WAY better than .267" stock. I'll be happy to wait until that one is released. I also hope Dan keeps the full flat grind rather than reverting to a high saber grind. Heck, a little distal taper would be nice for a knife this size, but that's probably asking for too much.

This is actually my first reply here, but I agree with pitman on a skeletonized edc, much like a busse skeleton key. I would buy three of these babies and paracord them up!

Simple solution: buy one of each! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Phatties are relatively rare in the knife world. I'm buying all I can <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm more interested in functionality. It makes sense for the Dog Father to be extra thick. It doesn't make a lot of sense for knives with 3-5 inch blades to be thick. Just my opinion.

Welcome to the yard, frank. I can't figure out why the little SYK knives are so thick, either. I guess that is just the way Dan likes them or maybe that is the stock that is available at the time. One think is for sure, they are tough!

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

But 3/16 INFI is strong like thick steel... I think his eyes only watered for a day or two! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
