whatda you think if you drilled the underside of the hook part with a bit just alittle bit bigger, making the the edge of the hook more curved down and clearing a space on the spine at the same time, that might work! I'm gonna try it. (with all safety stuff!)

I like your fat green FBM. Mine did not come with a penetrator point. I may have to "fix" that.

I am w/ HD. I do not have a taste for toe nail polish (black crinkle, OD whatever) on my blades. Makes me nervous when I use them to eat or cut food w/.

She used to be red hot (The Fifth Element), now she is looking a little tired and oversampled.

Well, I'm not exactly a spring chicken anymore. My tastes have probably changed as I aged <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

She was cool in the Fifth Element (great film, I love those comedy space orcs!). That FBM dwarfs the DF and I thought that the DF was a monster! 'Snot green' is a bit harsh (if funny!), it looks veridian (bottle) green to me! Just call it the jolly green giant..

On the sr77 version theme, the DF is bigger and heavier than I want to carry hiking (but I do like mine and will put it in a 4X4 if I ever get one..) so I'd pass on it but hope you get your wish!

no no no, i also got an od green linen fffbm and the grips are held by three double flanged cylindrical handle fasteners. the center fastener is absent on my knife. looks like #13 is in trouble.

The ribs actually have a purpose, I found out. They increase strength while reducing weight and help reduce sticking friction on the blade surface while chopping or slicing. I just thought they looked cool.

Thanks HB. I think they look even better with the paint stripped off. I was amazed at how well that stripper worked. The bare INFI is beautiful to me.

My Dog Father is 15" overall with a 10" blade that is 1 13/16" wide. My FBM is 16" long with a 10" blade that is 2" wide at its widest point. My Fat FBM is 16" long with a 10" blade that is 2 1/8" wide at its widest point. Hope that helps. I just measured them. Sometimes pictures do make them look different lengths, but those are the facts.

Actually the pictures do lie, though not intentionally. Depending on the lens in the camera and how close the objects are to be photographed you can see stretching distortion on the near objects, i.e. the wide angle lens effect.

With my cheesy camera I have to be careful to phoograph from above the knives so they are the same distance to the lens. With one knife in the foreground and one in the background, the background knife always looks smaller when they are the same physical length.
