Awesome report HD and great job scoring a Keeper for Cold One I know he will be stoked. I had a hunch Dan and Jerry would like to see your customized knives. It would be like how Harley likes it when people build customs out of their bikes.
I think making your knife your own like that transcendence's a mere tool and makes it something special ,almost spiritual. It sounds a bit dorky but blades have had spiritual significance to every culture that has had them.

Yowza! Way to go Vic! Sounds like you made the yard proud. Thanks a ton for the score! Just checking in from a hotel before I make the last run home tomorrow. Made my night!

Can't wait to see photos of your SH1! What was the price point like on it?

Oh, I cleared out some messages from my inbox...

No air? Man, I’d want a refund on the hotel price. Especially when it’s that hot and the window won’t open. Congrats on your scores!

Just got in from Hot Lanta. 97 F. Air Conditioning out in hotel room, window won't open. Had to get outa there. Credit Card on fire! Scored 4 Yard Keepers, 1 Yard Hook, 2 Scrapper 6s, 1 Ratmandu, 1 Busse Steel Heart 1 special 2007 edition, 1 custom scalping knife, and more. Left camera home, pics by tomorrow. Got to unpack and cool off. Tell Cold One I got his Yard Keeper. His message box is full. Had a big time, but no sleep with a/c out. Rock on.

Wow Vic, What a great list of steel! I am so jealous! I can't wait to see your review of the Keeper! Cool off and get some rest then, --------We need those pics!

That SH1 is an awesome score ,even if that was all you had gotten it would have been worth it.

Exactly. It is spiritual. All our ancestors did it, whatever their race or culture. It puts part of the owner into the weapon and unites the user with the weapon.

BTW, the Steel Heart was $367 with black G10 and double cut. Quite a score.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Man I can't imagine no AC in the room. The show was hot enough, I had a headache all day yesterday from the heat and noise of the show.

I was really glad to meet a few of the Dogs from the Yard and, I'm glad Dan and his family were able to get there Friday I really wanted to meet them, couldn't ask for a finer bunch, they were just great.

I enjoyed meeting you, Greg. Things did not go as I had planned socially, due to my cell phone not working and no a/c. I did get to have lunch with Private Klink (Tom). I met Jason and Rainwalker and several others I have seen on the Busse, Rat and SY forums. Of course I got to meet Dan and Patti and their kids and Jerry and Amy 0. I met Idaho Skunk and saw Jennifer Busse, but did not get to meet her. Did you make the dinner last night?

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
