Hiya all, this post is really just to let you know that my dog is now back to full strength after her close shave the other week !
As I walked her today though it got me thinking and just incase any of you are thinking of getting a Bully breed of dog or even if you are just curious what they are like I thought I'd explain a little....

I got my mate in the UK to register on here and he read about what had happened to my dog and e-mailed me. He said he was sorry to hear what had happened, it turns out he too has a Bull terrier, he then said yeah you have to watch them cos they are stupid. If you are reading this Rob I have to disagree a little here, Bullys are stubborn, self willed and compulsive but not stupid. In fact my dog is actually the most intelligent dog I have known. She knows all the usual commands Sit, Fetch, Give paw etc but she will also fetch my slippers and one that impresses people most is she will do a toilet on command when I tell her and where I tell her !!!
I would rate them on the same level as a Labrador ! Ok then you might ask then why don't they use them as guide dogs.....they don't because a Bully would chew up the white stick and then drag the person down the street at 100mph. You see Bullys only have 2 gears, gear 1 is when they are tired or ill and all the rest of the time they are in gear 5 !!!
If a Bully had a broken leg and you threw a ball the Bully would ignore the leg and tear after off after the ball !!!
If a normal dog is locked in a house and missing the owner it might chew a little on a doorframe etc...a bully will not be happy until it has ripped the door from the frame and eaten it !!!
To me Bullys are the best dogs in the world but you must be ready for what they are like. I think of them as an 8 year old kid who has overdosed on sugar and E numbers !!!They always know what they should do but they often choose not to do it !

Do you remember the Quails nest I found ? Well I went back and checked on it today and you will be pleased to see she is still being the good mother bird and keeping them warm....

Glad the dogs back at er.
I don't think it matters what breed of dog a person gets, the most important thing is to match the breeds temperment to yours. No use in getting a high energy dog if you are a couch potatoe or getting a bassett hound if you want to walk miles each day with it.
Matching a dogs tempermate to yours and then follow it up with proper training and you have a treasure.

It looks to me like you have found that treasure and I am sure glad you didn't loose it

I got a mutt thats 14 and a GSD thats 10, and I really don't know what I will do when there time is up

Glad to see Maisy is back on top form.It will be a load off your family I sometimes feel I get on better with my dog than the wife!
