At first I thought you people were nuts.....then I looked at them.........identical profile, the DM is slightly more rounded where it tapersto the tip. About .5" longer cutting edge on the RMD...then completely different handles from there.

I am working on a theory. We will see if it plays out. The only problem in working on a theory you don't announce is that no one but you will ever know if you were correct. Alright, I am think I see a pattern in the production schedules, particularly between the Swamp and the Yard. Busse is sort of a flier, or the start of the merry go round. Howler/DF were for sale around the same time. Then the Swamp Mojos/DM were out about the same time. Followed by the Mojos/Guard/Hook. Now you have Ratmandu/Keepers. Considering our previous discussion about maximizing your CNC programs over time, I think we could get a CG Keeper/continued Ratmandu production. Here is where I feel the guesswork commes in. Busse Combat should start Anniversary production soon, and will finish running the Sus Scrofa. I wouldn't be suprised to see a tweak to the Sus CNC program, and a tweak to the DF CNC program. Therefore, in short order we may see a Swamp Chopper/Scrapyard Wharncliff combo. I bet all the DF's needed for LE production were cut with the normal run, and their appearance will depend on finishing. Crap theary, or some logic..............

I don't have my RatManDu in front of me. It's getting pants made for it. However, when I did compare them they were very very similar. The DM has a penetrator tip and is obviously much thicker. There are some differences between the two such as a thumb rest. However, the blade shape is pretty much the same.

I thought it was a very well thought out theory. I hope the Yard Keepers come out soon.

The grind of the S6 also goes all the way to the spine which I prefer for slicing ability. But I agree they are similar. No sense in changing what has been working for Jerry for years. Also when you think about it, there are only so many shapes you can have with out being very use specific. Scrapper 4 is a lot like Leaner Mean Street if we are keeping a tally.

SSCamaro - I think you are right on. That is a very intelligent observation. I know that many people wonder about the sales/marketing of the Group but your theory is the first I have heard that made ALOT of sense!
Good Thread.
