Very nice! I've wanted to go to AK for quite a while now. I'm just afraid that I would end up not leaving...

Those were some awesome pictures! My favorite is the old shack for the texture of its roof. A 200 mm f1.8 must be a good sized honking lens to be lugging! Of course I think i'd want a 400mm field of view for the bear shot. Nice stuff and I really enjoyed your pics.

ReconSeed: Now you have just confirmed it! I was VERY concerned for your state of mind when I found out you were gonna be a butter bar in the ARmy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />. And now you've changed you mind about the Dumpster Mutt <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />!!! Oh, the shame of it all, the shame. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" /> Ha Ha. At least the Air Force is consistant, we sleep in AC rooms and keep the enemy far far away! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Man, those are some great pics. I love the bear and eagle ones especially.

Fantastic photos, Ted! I have wanted to visit Alaska for a while. It seems like one is winding the clock back 150 years in terms of the surrounds.
