hiya...

Well how do you guys buy your blades here? Are there only 3 available? And if there are more available, then where can i see them?

If there arent more available, but there will be soon: then how do you guys know which ones are next? Can I see the other blades somwhere? Because i've been waiting for so long on buying a howling rat (with res c) but swamprat just changed the line. I heard scrapyard has a similar one, but i cant see it anywhere.

plz help.. and maybe some info on when the howler-like blade will be out. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

TY very much!

Wopke,

Firstly, welcome to the pound. We buy our blades directly from scrapyard. Look at the place order link for pricing information. Presently the yard is sold out of everything. We bought them all.

It's expected that scrapper 6's will be available in about 5 weeks. The street scrapper 4 (similar to the bandicoot, not the howling rat) is sold out. It was a limited run made from INFI which will likely never be repeated again. They're showing up on the secondary market, but the price on them well above what we paid. However, in the future there will be a street scrapper 4 made from sr-77. When they'll be available is anybody's guess.

Lastly, the next knife on the list is the bowie. If you do a search for bowie you find all sorts of info about it including pictures, specs, and pricing.

Hope it helps
Jerry

Actually the street scrapper 4 is similar to the Bandicoot, not the Howling Rat.

Thanks for the correction

I was able to pick up a number of the old Swamp Rat blades. I have kicked myself a lot for not getting a Bandicoot when they were available. The SS4 compensates for that mistake.

The only swamps I own are a pair of Rat Ice Picks. Truth be told the only thing I'm interested in is a Camp Tramp. However, once the Bowie comes out, and I can get a sheath to hold it and the ss4 that may change.

yep.. i've been looking at Camp Tramps & Battle Rats at the Exchange. I find it interesting there seems to be more demand for Camp Tramps ?

It could be that the Camp Tramp is considered to be more of an all-around camp knife and therefore more versatile than a Battle Rat.

----------------

That would be my simple basic answer!!! - that I should just stick with...

..... I started a long-winded over-blown answer, but.... the above answer works very well.

Battle rats are a steal right now and would make a decent long term investment.

Battle Rats Rule! I own two Camp Tramps and two Battle Rats. I love the Camp Tramps, but IMHO the Battle Rat is so much better. First off it is larger and therefore a much better chopper. Secondly it is not much heavier and is still fairly easy to carry. Thirdly, it can do anything the CT can do only better.

As of right now the Battle Rat is my all time favorite knife. That might change after the Dog Father makes its way to my door, but for now that is how things stand.

Please don't take this as a slam against the Camp Tramp. The CT is really just a smaller Battle Rat and is a fantastic knife. But for me, bigger is better and the BR is it!
